New review about phage-based sensors!

We have published new paper in Chemosensors (IF=3.108). In this work we have presented recent biosensors based on bacteriophages for detection of biomarkers that may be applied in medical diagnostics.

Thanks to genetic engineering, researchers are able to “program” bacteriophages to recognize biomarkers such as proteins. Molecular biology technique called phage display is often used in these studies. It allows selecting phage clone that has desired properties – it works like natural evolution but much more faster!
