We are working on the borderline of chemistry, physics and biology. In our research we develop sensing platforms based on nanostructures of both inorganic and organic compounds.
We use advanced techniques such as:
- fluorescence microscopy,
- electrochemistry,
- interferometry,
- immunoassays.
to better understand the world surrounding us and meet the challenges of the present and of the future.
Our Group brings together researchers with different interests to ensure a creative and supportive atmosphere. Our truly interdisciplinary research revolves around several major directions:
- synthesis and description of metal nanostructures, especially silver nanowires;
- innovative fingerprint analysis using special fluorophores;
- application of genetically modified bacteriophages in sensing devices.
