The result of the latest round of applications from the National Research Centre Poland (NCN) was just announced on their webpage. Joanna’s Opus application in collaboration with Prof. Sebastian Mackowski who leads the Optics of Hybrid Nanostructures Group at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun was accepted.
The project with title “Spatial organization of metallic nanowires for advanced photonics” aims to construct a hybrid plasmonic structure with controlled spatial arrangement of silver nanowires and demonstrate remote and wireless communication between two nanowires using plasmon propagation and molecular energy transfer.
In this project we will be looking for a talented PhD student with a background in physics or chemistry. More information will appear soon, but those who are interested can contact Joanna.
